So when do you need a fire risk assessment –
1 – Have you had one if not you will need one if you employ 5 or more people in a single premises by law.
2 – If you have had a fire you may well need to look at another fire risk assessment
3 – Have you hired new staff or moved location? This would also mean you need a new fire risk assessment done.
4 – Is your fire risk equipment up to date? Having a regular fire risk assessment will enable you to stay on top of ensuring your fire alarms, extinguishers and other equipment work correctly and are up to date.
5 – Have you expanded? Again with expansion will come new advice and possibly new people to be trained. Again, a regular fire risk assessment will enable your peace of mind that this is up to date and compliant.
We won’t have covered all of the reasons above but the main reasons will give you a guide on when its best to get a fire risk assessment done but if your unsure or need to know that yours is up to date and legally compliant please get in touch today to see how we can help you.
